Project costing tracks multiple work orders together into one project. With Project Costing you simply tag all Work Orders to a project and phase. Costing for the job comes from time-sheets and Cost of Goods Sold from Inventory.

This is a very easy way to track larger scale jobs with out having to code each line item separately as with Job Costing. Project Costing can be used in conjunction with Job Costing if you like.

Create Project Templates. In this way with a push of a button the system would create a new project for the customer complete with phases and budget information and then create dozens even hundreds of work-orders.

All you would have to do afterwards is modify the work-orders and project for any additional information you might want to add.
