Developed by the authors of FOOD-TRAK Food and Beverage Management Software, Enterprise Information System (EIS) is a stand-alone system providing corporate users with an innovative and powerful resource for consolidating multi-store, multi-system data on the corporate level.
Conceptually, EIS resembles a data warehouse, and works on a basic import/export arrangement, where individual stores export data files that are imported and stored in a central corporate database. Once inside the corporate database, those disparate sets of data are used to create consolidated reports, which can be distributed for viewing in a variety of ways and can be shared at various levels of the corporate structure.
EIS’s comprehensive reporting system provides the user with the option to analyze store progress individually, in one-to-one comparisons, and in groups. It offers an optional web server subsystem, which allows users in the field to generate and receive reports from the system using only an industry-standard web browser. Integrated into the 3-tier design, web-based reporting allows reports to be run from web browsers on an Intranet or to be published worldwide if the web server connects directly to the Internet. With this option, corporate managers can be anywhere in the world and receive any report available through the system.
