This powerful, easy to run inventory software solution incorporates several unique ways of controlling and finding inventory that has been developed over a period of years. Some of the advanced features that make inventory control simple, yet flexible, include:

  • User defined attributes which can be described as adjectives that are used to uniquely describe a product.
  • Unlimited product synonyms that provide your users a limitless number of methods to find any given product. Examples might include competitors part numbers, long text descriptions, industry slang, customer part number, supplier part number, multiple electronic (bar code) number, or logical text groupings for quick and accurate product look up screens
  • Suggested Next products are linked to the product in the sales order screen and are presented on a scrolling list from which the operator must tag the products acceptable to the customer. Tagged items are then automatically added to the customer’s order

Sentai software offers a revolutionary approach to selecting data through the use of the can-do expression. The can-do expressions can consolidate data into a variety of groups where the coding is non-sequential and the grouping was not pre-determined.

Accounts Payable

Trax Accounts Payable can stand alone or be fully integrated with other Sentai modules. User defined aging periods and transaction codes provide reporting and sorting mechanisms that accommodate internal business rules for companies with up to 100 locations. Other features available include manual check entry with on demand printing, one time supplier payments, automatic cash requirement notification based on discount and/or due date, automatic generation of recurring vouchers, aging and cash flow projection, foreign currency documents, and various transaction hold mechanisms. Trax Accounts Receivable may stand alone or be fully integrated with other Sentai modules. Comprehensive reporting and sorting mechanisms - including user definable parameter controls, aging periods, and transaction codes - accommodate internal business rules for companies with multiple locations. The package supports invoice entry and printing; finance charges that can be automatically applied or deleted upon due or transaction date; extensive customer profile information; deferred invoicing and processing; and foreign currency document control.

Action Manager

Trax Action Manager manages contact data and can front end this information to other Sentai modules. Action Manager accommodates prospect, customer and supplier files. Action Manager allows users to construct scripts that prompt users for data. Based on this entry, Action Manager schedules follow-up actions. For example, users can generate lists of customers with credit problems and then use the list to manage the collection process. They can also target prospects and customers for a telemarketing campaign. Resulting data can feed the sales order entry process, allowing users to work through the list and automatically drive the order entry application.

Bill of Materials

Trax Bill of Material works with Sentai Inventory Management to fully specify the manufacturing process for finished goods and components. Bill of Material determines what makes up a product, how it is built, and what is its finished cost. It presents that information in a multilevel bill of material. Features support unlimited, nested, multilevel bills of material; waste or spillage handling; back flushing; bill of materials revisions with costing; on screen product configuration; unlimited unit of measure calculations and conversions by component; production variances; where used analysis; and extensive assembly documentation. The software supports serialized or lotted bills or components.

Commisions Management

Trax Commissions Management is integrated with Sentai General Ledger, Sales Order Processing, Work Order Processing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory Management. Commissions Management allows you to assign multiple salespeople to a customer and to define relationships between each customer salesperson and product to support a variety of commission calculations. Detailed commission reports are unlimited by sales and/or service order processing. The software calculates commissions using either a straight percentage of sales or a commission specific margin formula per product or per product group. It also calculates and processes sales manager commission splits automatically.

Trax Electronic Data Interchange enables the exchange of orders, acknowledgments, invoices and purchase requirements with trading partners using telecommunication services. Support for x.12 includes a forms designer, log records and document tracking. Individual documents per trading partner is supported as well as support for intra-company EDI. EDI is fully integrated to the TRAX suite of applications.

Executive Information System

Sentai’s E/I module consists of data extraction routines, which pull information from Sentai’s transactions, and transforms them into multi-dimensional data cubes. Using TRAX’s Executive Information System you can compare sales, review COGS and watch inventory turns in easy color coded bar graphs or switch the same view to display figures or percentages.

The best selling product group will just pop out at you. Compare these figures by customer groups or look at margin by salesperson across varying customer groups. Who is the dominant customer in a particular product line? With EIS your screen will just point it out for you rather than you leafing through pages of reports and manually comparing sales figures to find what your looking for.

The system tracks assets individually or in groups, and it includes data about insurance, warranty, serial numbers, acquisition, and disposal information for each asset. Trax General Ledger supports an unlimited combination of business units and multiple currencies. Sentai General Ledger includes budgeting tools and interfaces with spreadsheet programs. The system supports 4, 12, 13, 26, or 52 accounting periods, with a reserved adjustment period. Unlimited fiscal years may be open simultaneously, and parameters control the closing of accounting periods.

Inventory Management

Users can enter an unlimited number of product identifiers (cross references), including user defined synonyms such as bar codes, customers suppliers, etc. Users can assign different product identifiers to user definable document types; formulate complete landed cost, supplier and commission costs; and specify unlimited date activated dollar/percent price relationships and unit of measure conversions. Features support serial and lot numbers, color identification and configuration of products, and on demand and pre built kits.

Trax Point of Sale supports point-of-sale, inventory, corporate communications and purchasing functions in an integrated system. Point of Sale supports an independent and distributed environment controls to allow tills to retain complete capability in the event of host problems. Trax Purchase Order Processing works with other Trax applications to support expense and product based purchasing, back-order flushing, extensive buyer controls and closed-loop reconciliation. Users work with suppliers’ currencies, product identifiers and units of measure. They can attach outstanding sales orders to purchase orders and can verify lead times and product costs. The software automatically processes orders based on user-specified purchasing goals and product blends. It supports RMAs and warranty tracking. An event-driven entry and inquiry screen uses object-oriented techniques to facilitate rule-based business procedures. With the Dynamic Warehouse Manager a real-time snapshot of activity is displayed on screen. What orders have been picked, what is in the queue and current stock levels keep you informed and in control. Reposition queued tasks between pick, put-away, count and replenish with a simple drag and drop to accommodate specific customers or requirements. Know who is currently logged on and look at queues by task type, if one is backing up, simply alter default queues to improve the balance. Dynamic Warehouse Manager also allows you to see all bins with quantity discrepancies and empty bin confirmations.
