JDHOpS RF is fully integrated with the JDHOpS Inventory control and management system. This means that all transactions created by the RF gun are validated against the central Ops database and if accepted the database is updated in real time. If during the validation process errors are found, the operator is immediately notified with a clear error message. This feature alone removes the requirement for manual processing of transactions created in a non- integrated WMS where transactions are rejected.

The RF system has been designed to work with the Symbol High Performance rugged scanners. The system supports warehouses that require multiple access points, multiple PDT Scanners and multiple bar code label printers.

The RF system supports the following functionalities:

• The creation of serial number records and printing of associated bar code labels.
• The ability to scan a product and associate it with a skid number (also scanned). The RF system validates the serial number, skid number and product code as well as the items’ availability for transfer to a skid.
• The ability to scan a product and remove its association to a skid number (also scanned). The RF system validates the serial number, skid number and product code as well as the items’ availability for removal from a skid.
• The ability to move either a product or a skid to a specified bin location; again all information is validated before the move transaction is effected.
• The ability to pick product and or specific serial numbers for a specified customer order. The system validates that the products picked for the order are in fact on backorder and that all serial numbers are available for picking.
• The RF system supports the Physical Inventory counting process in JDHOpS which allows for either full counts or cycle counts. The count process will update the OpS Inventory count files if the record is found, otherwise it will create a new entry in the OpS Inventory count file.
