The Infection Management component collects data surrounding pre-defined infection and disease processes. Data elements are monitored and analyzed while providing warnings to users prior to becoming serious or critical. The threshold level for warnings can be user defined. When committees are developed to track quality assurance items, information surrounding team members, scheduled meetings, objectives, goals, as well as short and long-term actions can be monitored and evaluated against standard protocols.
Once the information surrounding the quality indicators is collected over an extended period of time, trends will start to emerge. This application collects data directly from the MDS assessment. Users can pre-determine to trigger reports on the 30 indicators developed by the Centre for Health Services Research and Analysis or add user defined quality indicators. In this way standard reporting and bench marking is augmented by user-defined criteria to enhance reporting and monitoring all areas of concern.
