Speak with a deFacto Global provider

deFacto Global is a privately held, US-based, Microsoft-centric software development company based out of Connecticut. It was formed by experts who, over the past three decades, have built and implemented performance management products currently being used by thousands of customers worldwide. Leaders of our development team oversaw the development of financial planning and performance management products from Hyperion, OutlookSoft, Cognos and SAP and also developed a number of financial consolidation engines for Frango, Clarity and OutlookSoft. Our consultants have spent their entire careers implementing these same products. Collectively, ours is one of the most experienced and capable teams in the world.

Our mission is to provide our customers with the most complete and capable corporate planning product available. Hundreds of mid-sized and global companies alike use deFacto to streamline, automate and better manage their financial management processes for the purpose of achieving stellar financial performance.

And while we have a substantial customer base, our core operating principles of our company is centered on the quality of our relationships, not the quantity of customers. We strive to provide the most professional and trustworthy support to each and every customer throughout the history of our relationship.

Our core product, deFacto Planning, formerly deFacto Performance Management, is a completely unified, enterprise-quality budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, analysis and reporting product that offers the full range of features needed to satisfy even the most demanding users, yet it’s easy to learn and use - and it’s affordable. deFacto Planning is a multi-dimensional, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cube-based application.

To be clear, deFacto Planning is a single product with one single Excel interface and each model has one single database/cube, regardless if you are bringing in data from one or 100 data sources.

Our product has become the “de facto” planning product for mid to large size Microsoft customers. In fact, Microsoft has selected deFacto as their exclusive corporate planning partner to bring to market a range of innovative predictive analytics-based financial forecasting offerings using Azure Machine Learning (ML) and deFacto. In the same light, deFacto Planning is the only finance- focused application that Microsoft’s Office of the CFO recommends to their Enterprise (EPG) clients.

deFacto has been recognized by a range of industry analysts including Gartner, TEC, BPM Partners, 451 and others.

deFacto Planning is a proven alternative to IBM, Oracle, SAP and all other CPM ISVs;

  • Clients select deFacto Planning based on some combination of features/functions, value/cost effectively, use of open technology, expertise of our team and recommendations/support from our Microsoft-based ecosystem.
  • Exclusively dependent on customer success and satisfaction – historically, our customers indicated that they would both recommend deFacto Planning and purchase deFacto Planning again.
  • The majority of our customers have moved off of competing products including Cognos, Hyperion, SAP, Solver, Adaptive, and others in favor of deFacto. But no deFacto customer has ever moved to a competing solution. The most common reasons our customers move off of competing solutions include: poor application performance, limited scalability, high TCO, poor support and weak security. Customers with products like Hyperion, and especially Solver, which are comprised of multiple products bundled together, cite multiple interfaces and poor product integration in addition to the other reasons.
