In release accounting, product demands [orders and releases] are analyzed and grouped over a multiple week demand window, creating a demand flow basis for smoothing. This is a key characteristic of flow manufacturing, which AIM Vision® fully supports. Because of the unique repetitive nature of our customer niche, many “tuned” capabilities are built into our manufacturing offering: the ability to generate production demands that are validated by a blanket release and originate from an EDI demand or from combinations of these and spot buys; specialized repetitive routing conventions; extensive use of backflushing; pre-production cost collection; simplified revision control; standard pack recognition; integrated shipping and billing; integrated front and back end EDI and container barcode label requirements.
