Managers can foresee potential cost overruns prior to completion and address them accordingly. Salespersons are provided essential details, giving them the ability to inform customers as to the status of manufacturing orders. Easy to understand screens provide insight into Material Reservations, Materials in Production, Labor, Overhead, and machine usage as it occurs.

Work in Process information is collected at the Work Center as employees perform their jobs. Current information can then be compared to estimates established for the Production Order, resulting in insightful cost comparisons for managers.

Key Features

  • Work Centers collect information about work performed as it occurs
  • Planned costs and capacities are compared to actual transactions for overview purposes
  • Work Logs allow users to visually see what needs to be done and when. Managers create the schedules for these employees from the Production Orders
  • WIP is optional. Companies that do not benefit from it when compared to the effort of transactional entry need not utilize it
  • WIP transactions roll up to the General Ledger as statistical entries, can be included in financial reporting, and used by FRx. This means that the GL is the reporting engine for WIP, and WIP can be compared to actuals to produce very detailed reports
