Work Centers

With the UA Work Center definition, you can subdivide your organization's manufacturing capabilities into discrete areas, each with unique characteristics that reflect the realities of your production environment.

The UA Work Center solution is completely flexible, and can be a representation of a physical operation or merely a step where costs are added to a production campaign. Work Centers can hold an unlimited number of user defined definitions for specific routings such as; labor, machine capacity, worker skills, employee certification to operate machinery or perform certain work, schedules of hours or work shifts, fixed costs, overhead costs, and literally any other relevant attribute.

An unlimited number of work centers can be created, and more than one Work Center definition may be created to identify the same place of production. This allows the same Work Center to handle different types of Production Orders. Because each Work Center stores capacity data, this information can be used to manage workloads and prevent bottlenecks. Load Balancing, or the re-scheduling of current orders, is also easily managed as UA provides insightful information for logical decisions regarding expediting or de-expediting orders.
